if you cannot find the answer to your question.
A Mindful Meandering is about nurturing conscious connection between ourselves and the natural world in small groups. They are designed to be a gentle walking journey rather than a timed hike following a predefined route from A to B.
Often nature-based activities will be part of the experience and these may include: grounding, outdoor meditation/time in silence, relaxation in nature focussed on quiet contemplation and reflection, art and crafts using found objects and natural materials, themed activities based on the turning of the wheel of the year, a sound circle with a simple devotional song and sacred fire ceremony. Involvement in all or any of the activities is never compulsory.
They are either a maximum of 2 or 4 hours based in Wiltshire and often connected with sites of special healing resonance eg natural springs or lay line nodes. Private groups and corporate bookings can be arranged too by contacting us with your request.
In these times we are being pushed to question how we value products, services and experiences in our lives. At the close of your Mindful Meandering, you will be invited to offer an amount to the value you place on the experience - a guide to a suggested donation can be provided on request. We have a beautiful wooden bowl to welcome cash donations and card donations can be input on a SumUp reader by the participant. The above applies to our scheduled walks. For private groups and corporate bookings please get in contact – we work slightly differently in these instances.
We welcome everyone, however, for all our currently available meanderings, participants are asked to confirm as part of the T&C's in the booking process, that they are capable of walking a minimum of 1 mile comfortably over uneven grassland and footpaths at a leisurely pace. We plan to offer fully accessible Mindful Meanderings as well as age-specific walks for children and teens, out of school hours, soon.
Mindful Meanderings run year-round. Each will have its own unique rhythm and flow and at times this may be influenced, though rarely dictated, by the day's weather. Please come dressed to keep yourself comfortable. Everyone is different - please tune in to your own self the day before and again the morning of your walk before choosing what to wear.
There is always a reflection by leaders on safety in the event of high winds or extreme weather conditions. If we decide to cancel a Mindful Meandering, we will notify all those booked on, by phone no less than two hours before the walk is due to begin. We will canvas the group on a new best -fit date.

All Mindful Meanderings are currently led by Polly Tuckwell. We hope to have more leaders as demand for Mindful Meanderings increases and we plan to offer collaborations with specialist local guides e.g. wild swimming or seasonal foraging.
Mindful Meanderings was conceived by Polly Tuckwell. A Cornish-born mum to three wonderful boys who has always loved the outdoors but has specifically experienced the therapeutic and healing power of nature first hand after outdoor swimming helped her overcome postnatal depression and nature walks supported her emotional healing after marriage breakdown. She is passionate about sharing the restorative energy and beautiful connection which comes from tuning in to Mother Nature and all her gifts through quality time outdoors.
Our current leader, Polly Tuckwell is qualified as follows:
